You may have seen my last blog post, related to fantasy art and role-playing game (RPG) games. Take a look at the character holding the hammer in the background from those designs. I drew him some years ago from a Wonderful historical magazine called All About History about the Battle of Hastings.
The article had an image of a man holding a weapon on the upper right hand side I drew on paper using lead. I have later went over this character this digitizing him and hence why you saw him in my fantasy piece recently.
Here, I am showcasing some digital board game UI ideas as well as fantasy and historical graphic design. Board games are an interesting way to mix ideas and already available media (magazine article in this case) into interesting aesthetics for future design. I may start creating board game ideas froms cratch and even user interface (UI) elements for sigital board games on say the iPad soon. This really is giving me various ideas to work from.

The variations could really be endless. Here were just some of the compositions I created. I think good composition is a skill hard to come by and I keep working on improving this as shown above with different variations. Composition is a skill I definitely will take with me when I start implementing UI design ideas.
