A New Domain & a New Beginning

Recently, we have decided to transfer our domain from GoDaddy to Weebly so that www.artisticcounterculture.com would show up as the main domain and all subpages would also be linkable from the .com URL. FOr instance, you can now go to the services page by visiting this URL: http://www.artisticcounterculture.com/services.html. Previously, we had simply set up GoDaddy to redirect the URL of www.artisticcounterculture.com to the main domain of www.artisticcounterculture.weebly.com, but mask it in a way so it would still be shown as .com. However, the subpages were not linkable without the .weebly address showing.

It was more cumbersome as we either had to send clients links as the Weebly domain of www.artisticcounterculture.weebly.com so they can easily navigate the page and send links to one another to the various subpages or, alternatively, give them the www.artisticcounterculture.com URL or domain, where they can easily navigate the page, but the .weebly was showing and was more cumbersome to type in or remember.

The other reason we decided to do this was because the Brave Browser has a recent Rewards program for content creators where they can earn BAT cryptocurrency (Basic Attention Tokens). In order to take advantage of this creator rewards program we had to have a .com domain rather than one through Weebly or another host. So, we had to transfer the domain from GoDaddy to Weebly in order to be able to manage the DNS records so we can input a txt file and Brave can recognize us as a creator. With Wordpress, this isn’t possible without plugins, we believe, but we are stll trying to figure it out on our other sites that have a non-business plan.

One thing this gave us an idea for was to purchase a bunch of other domains, which we did, and try to auction them using GoDaddy’s auction tools. However, if anyone on here finds a liking to these domains, let us know and we can neogiate a purchase and transfer independently. We may soon showcase the domains available for purchase on here via our services section. We will see. We are also thinking of building them up to show the potential of the sites that can be created with them in question.
