If you have checked out the site within the last hour-or-so, then you may have noticed a new chatbot client showing up on the home page and the other pages shortly thereafter. This is because I have decided to add one from HubSpot. HubSpot pot purchased Motion AI a few years ago and implemented its own chat it system you can set up for free with a basic account.
HubSpot’s setup was easy and codeless. However, the chat client I am using is is simple. It really is just a way for me to be notified someone is trying to interact with me or the site and be able to log in so I can answer. The premium or paid plans HubSpot offers allow for more customization like access to a help desk and If/Then conditions statements. For now, this will do however, as my site visitation numbers per week wee only in the tens end not hundreds of users yet.
What prompted me to add this chat widget was the fact I wanted to learn more about creating chatbots for an article I am writing and for general knowledge. I also realize many people may not realize I have a contact page or click on it, this this is a quicker way for them to be able to reach me and takes less navigation on their part. It also showcases my web development skills further and things zi can do for clients besides just static pages.
As you may know if you follow AI news or machine learning advancements, chatbots take advantage of these latest trends and algorithms to answer questions better and decipher queries and interpret them more effectively over time.
